[artículo]
Título : Early adversity and development : parsing heterogeneity and identifying pathways of risk and resilience Tipo de documento: texto impreso Autores: Dylan G. Gee, Autor Fecha de publicación: 2022 Artículo en la página: pp. 998-1013 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Idioma original : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: Desarrollo, Estrés, Factores de riesgo ambiental, Investigación traslacional Resumen: Adversity early in life is common and is a major risk factor for the onset of psychopathology. Delineating the neurodevelopmental pathways by which early adversity affects mental health is critical for early risk identification and targeted treatment approaches. A rapidly growing cross-species literature has facilitated advances in identifying the mechanisms linking adversity with psychopathology, specific dimensions of adversity and timing-related factors that differentially relate to outcomes, and protective factors that buffer against the effects of adversity. Título : Amyloid and tau in alzheimer’s disease : biomarkers or molecular targets for therapy? Are we shooting the messenger? Tipo de documento: texto impreso Autores: Anand Kumar, Autor ; Charles B. Nemeroff, Autor ; Joseph J. Cooper, Autor Fecha de publicación: 2022 Artículo en la página: pp. 1014-1025 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Idioma original : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: Enfermedad de Alzheimer, Demencia Resumen: Alzheimer’s disease is a neuropsychiatric disorder with devastating clinical and socioeconomic consequences. Since the original description of the neuropathological correlates of the disorder, neuritic plaques and neurofibrillary tangles have been presumed to be critical to the underlying pathophysiology of the illness. The authors review the clinical and neuropathological origins of Alzheimer’s disease and trace the evolution of modern biomarkers from their historical roots. Título : Differential patterns of delayed emotion circuit maturation in abused girls with and without internalizing psychopathology Tipo de documento: texto impreso Autores: Taylor J. Keding, Autor ; Sara A. Heyn, Autor ; Justin D. Russell, Autor Fecha de publicación: 2022 Artículo en la página: pp. 1026-1036 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Idioma original : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: Marcadores biológicos, Neuroimagen, Psiquiatría de niños y adolescentes, Desarrollo, Neurociencia, Trastorno de estrés postraumático, Internalizar la psicopatología Resumen: Childhood abuse represents one of the most potent risk factors for developing psychopathology, especially in females. Evidence suggests that exposure to early-life adversity may be related to advanced maturation of emotion processing neural circuits. However, it remains unknown whether abuse is related to early circuit maturation and whether maturation patterns depend on the presence of psychopathology. Título : Brain-based biotypes of psychiatric vulnerability in the acute aftermath of trauma Tipo de documento: texto impreso Autores: Jennifer S. Stevens, Autor ; Nathaniel G. Harnett, Autor ; Lauren A.M. Lebois, Autor Fecha de publicación: 2022 Artículo en la página: pp. 1037-1049 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Idioma original : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: Marcadores biológicos, Neurociencia Cognitiva, Neuroimagen, Trastorno de estrés postraumático (PTSD), Estrés Resumen: Major negative life events, such as trauma exposure, can play a key role in igniting or exacerbating psychopathology. However, few disorders are diagnosed with respect to precipitating events, and the role of these events in the unfolding of new psychopathology is not well understood. The authors conducted a multisite transdiagnostic longitudinal study of trauma exposure and related mental health outcomes to identify neurobiological predictors of risk, resilience, and different symptom presentations.
